The Story Behind the Project
At Queen City Painting and Decorating, we believe that a fresh coat of paint is more than just a home improvement—it's the beginning of a new chapter. That's exactly what we aimed to achieve for Allison, a new homeowner in a quaint, historic subdivision near downtown Cincinnati.
A Seamless Start to a New Home
Allison contacted us during a busy time in her life—she was about to move into her new home and needed it to be perfect before settling in. What stood out to her during our initial meeting was how straightforward and stress-free our estimate process was. We worked closely with her to accommodate her tight schedule, ensuring that the painting was completed before her big move.
Crafting a Welcoming Atmosphere
The scope of work involved a full interior paint job across 1,240 square feet, covering the family room, hallway, primary bedroom, kitchen, stairwell, basement, and more. Allison had a clear vision for her home, opting for a palette that was both modern and cozy.
We used Sherwin Williams Duration in a satin sheen throughout the house. In the living areas and bedrooms, we applied Greek Villa (SW7551), a soft, warm white that created a serene backdrop.
The dining room and kitchen niche received a pop of character with Evergreen Fog (SW9130), while the first-floor bath and office were painted in Familiar Beige (SW6093) for a timeless, neutral tone. To add a cozy, inviting feel to the basement living room, we used Spiced Cider (SW7702), a rich, earthy shade that made the space feel warm and inviting.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Our team worked diligently over the course of three days, carefully preparing and painting each area with precision. We also repaired any drywall imperfections to ensure a flawless finish. The result was a beautifully transformed home that was ready for Allison to move in and start her new journey.
A Happy New Homeowner
Allison was thrilled with the results. The seamless experience—from the easy estimate process to the schedule flexibility—made her move less stressful, and the quality of our work exceeded her expectations. As she steps into her freshly painted home, she can now fully enjoy her new space, thanks to the team at Queen City Painting and Decorating.
